Game Economy
Introduction
Sagaverse platform has a dual token economy, where two different types of tokens, SAGA, and QUARK, are offered. This avoids compliance issues with regulators and divides the project's ecosystem into two tokens for better usability, namely governance, and gaming.
Price Determination
One of the most exciting aspects of Sagaverse is that price action is different for both SAGA and QUARK tokens. For SAGA tokens, it is entirely dependent on the number of users in the platform and how active they are in the community. Whereas, for QUARK tokens, it is entirely dependent on the in-game activities, giving the players total control over the shape of the economy. Sagaverse creators have no control over QUARKâs pricing.
Trading
Sagaverse will have its own marketplace with a dedicated inbuilt exchange for the users to trade various platform and in-game assets within the exchange, making the process of buying and selling easier. The transactions inside this marketplace are done with SAGA tokens.
Supply & Demand
The SAGA tokens are minted every block and distributed to investors, Guardian NFT holders, token stakers, etc. Every time an avatar is minted in the platform, a certain quantity of SAGA tokens are burned. As the number of players in Sagaverse increases, more and more tokens get burned, making SAGA tokens deflationary.
The supply and demand dynamics of QUARK tokens are dependent on the players and their in-game actions. Gaming results in a chain of events driven by need and demand. For example, in Aquasaga, players have to upgrade their boats and their fishing rods for an enhanced experience of fishing, breeding, and hatching of fighter fish eggs, etc. In all these cases the in-game token, QUARK, is used and burned. Both the minting and the burning of tokens occur in the game itself and the Sagaverse team does not have any control over it.
